About

Th Awkward Dancer is derived from the old saying that life is a dance.  If that’s true, then I’m pretty awkward at it… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  As long as we’re dancing, instead of just watching, that’s all that matters.

I’m a 30-something, professional, college-educated female living in a large city. Outdoor enthusiast. Amateur photographer. Aspiring writer. Musician. Football fan. Vegetarian-ish.

While I may say it with a dose of sarcasm, I look for the positives in life. I seek out the extraordinary in the ordinary, if you will. What can I learn from things that seem so unimportant on the surface? That’s what The Awkward Dancer is all about. My story is simple and common. That of a human searching for happiness, meaning and health in this world.  Fascinated by how the strength of the body, mind and soul all work together to bring us balance.

Every single person who crosses my path, no matter how briefly, teaches me something important. Inspires me. Motivates me. My hope with this blog is to simply return that favor.

Be happy, friends.
